On Thursday October 15th members of LVFD attended a event with Firehouse Subs awarding the department with a Hometown Hero's Grant. The funds from this grant were utilized to purchase a electronic fire extinguisher training prop. This equipment is a great addition to our public safety education effort and will be great addition to the department resource's. LVFD has already begun to train the community with fire extinguisher usage and safety. Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank our local Firehouse Subs in California, MD for their local community involvement and support of the local fire departments.
