On Friday June 6th members departed the station with Truck 1 headed for Colonial Beach, VA to attend the 63rd Annual Potomac River Festival Parade.

This parade is unique in that it is a lights and siren parade. Units have to arrive a little early for this parade and open all their compartments for a white glove inspection and answer a few fire related questions. After all the apparatus is inpspected then the fun begins. Its time to turn on everything you have that lights up and makes noise and go through the streets of Colonial Beach to help them kick off their Potomac River Festival.

When it was all said and done this year Truck 1 returned home with the Best Appearing Aerial Ladder/Platform.
