A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD with Deacon George L’Heureux officiating. Interment will be private.

Serious MVA with Reported Entrapment

- At 3:46 St. Mary's ECC alerted Co. 1, Co. 7, Amb. 196, Amb. 798, and Medic 4 to 21800 Society Society Hill Rd. for the report of a motor vehicle accident with a patient trapped under the vehicle. Shortly after dispatch the Sheriff's Dept. arrived on the scene advising units that the vehicle was on fire. Crews Work Together To Handle Serious Motorcycle Accident

- On Wednesday May 15, Company 1 along with Companies 19, and 79 were dispatched to Brown Road in the area of Gray Lane for the reports of a Serious Motor Vehicle Accident. Squad 1 (FF J. Wathen) responded along with Ambulance 798, and Medic 4. Communications received reports of a single motorcycle into the woods. Squad 1 arrived on the scene establishing the Brown Road command. - At 1532 hours Company 1, along with EMS Companies 19, and 79 were dispatched to the area of Budds Creek Road and Rocky Ridge Court for the report of a Personal Injury Accident. After dispatch Squad 1 (Capt. Watts) responded with 5 personal, along with Ambulance 197, and Ambulance 797. While in route communications advised responding units it was a single vehicle into a pole.

66th Annual Southern Maryland Firemen's Convention

- On the weekend of May 4th and 5th volunteers from the Southern Maryland Fireman's Association gathered for the 66th annual convention. The convention was hosted by Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad. On May 4th, the men and women of the Association gathered for a memorial service at St. Mary's Ryken High School. - At 1746 on April 22 Companies 1,7,6,9 and EMS Companies 19 and 79 were alerted to 42522 St. Margarets Drive for the report of a vehicle on fire next to a garage. Chief 1, Chief 1A, Engine 10, Truck 1, and Engine 14 responded shortly after dispatch with a total of 15 volunteers.
