Tanker and Squad Commit To Garage Fire

On August 12th, 2015 around 0600 hours, Engine 7, Engine 2, Engine 9, Tanker 2, Tanker 1, Tanker 9, Truck 7 Squad 1, Ambulance 798, and Company 29 were dispatched to 26472 Loveville Road for a working building fire. Chief 7 was first on the air and reported a large smoke cloud in the area, requesting 3 additional tankers on the assignment, adding Charles Tanker 2, Tanker 5 and Tanker 3 on the run. Chief 7 arrived on scene advising two garages 30x50, and a 30x70 on fire, establishing the Command. Engine 73 arrived on scene and began to contain the fire. Crews worked together to control the fire and overhaul the buildings. Tanker 14's crew assisted in containment while also assisting in water supply operations, Squad 1 established the RIT team and was later moved to overhaul operations. Units operated on the scene for just over an hour and returned to quarters.
