Multiple MVA's on Point Lookout Rd.

On Friday October 16th units from Co. 1, Co. 19, and Co. 29 were alerted to the intersection of Point Lookout Rd. and Pin Cushion Rd. for a motor vehicle accident. Squad 1, Engine 11, and Chief 1 responded to the scene. While en route to the scene communications advised Chief 1 there was a second motor vehicle accident south of the first accident with vehicle overturned and a single person trapped. At this time the assignment was upgraded and Squad 2 and additional ambulances and the Medic unit were requested. Chief 1 arrived on location with multiple vehicles involved, and assigned Squad 1 to the extrication group. After size up was complete it was to involve five vehicles between to the two accidents with four patients to transport. Squad 1 completed vehicle extrication and all patients were transported to Medstar St. Mary’s for further care. Units operated on the scene for about 45 minutes.
