Rescue Squad Assisted With One Trapped

At 2235 hours station 7, Rescue Squad 1, EMS 79, 19, and St. Mary’s ALS were dispatched to the area of Three Notch Rd and South Sandgate’s for a motor vehicle crash, report serious, and one trapped.

Fire Chief 7 arrived on location finding a vehicle overturned, and one occupant still in the vehicle unconscious, and trapped. Rescue Squad 7 arrived on location stabilizing the vehicle, and evaluated the patient. Command (Fire Chief 7) requested a helicopter for a Priority 1, category A trauma patient. Rescue Squad 7, and Engine 72’s crew went to work removing the “B” post, and rear door on the passenger side to gain access to the patient. Rescue Squad 1 arrived on location, and gained access to the patient, on the driver side to evaluate and further injuries. Rescue squad 1 also, provided lighting for the scene at this time both crews conducted a rapid extrication, and removed the patient, and transferred care over to EMS personnel on the scene. Engine 72 heled the land zone for Trooper 7, at the intersection of Three Notch Rd, and South Sandgate’s. The patient was transported to PG trauma center.
