Serious Accident at Loveville sends two to Trauma Center

At 0740, Company 1 and 2 were dispatched to a MVA serious with entrapment in Loveville at the intersection of Rt.5 & Rt.247. Squad 1 responding with 4 arrived on the scene with 2 vehicles involved in a head on collision. Vehicle 1 was on the side of the road with one patient out of the vehicle being attended by medical personnel. Vehicle 2 was sitting in the middle of the road occupied by one patient with heavy entrapment. Squad 1 arrived on location and established the command and requested a third squad due to manpower issues. Command also requested MSP Trooper 7 for a fly out of both patients. Squad 1 started extrication with the Hurst tool by cutting the roof completely off the vehicle. Squad 2 and Squad 7 arrived on the scene assisting with rolling back the dash freeing the victim’s legs. Emergency medical personnel took over the medical needs and conducted patient assessment of the patient. Both Patients were transported to the helicopter landing zone near the scene by Ambulance 198 and 798. Squad 7 and Engine 10 set of the landing zone.
