House Fire in Coltons Point

At 0445hrs Engine Companies 5,1,2,7, Charles Station 2, and EMS 59 were alerted for a structure fire on Windy Ln in Coltons Point. Tanker 14 and Truck Company 1 made the response with 8 volunteers.


Chief 5, and along with multiple Company 5 units arrived on location finding heavy fire from a 2 story single family home. Engine company 5 deployed an 1 ¾ hand line, and began fire attack operations. Tanker 5 established the water supply.


Tanker 14, and Truck Company 1 arrived on location, and were put right to work. Tanker 14’s crew deployed a 400 foot 1 ¾ handline to Division 2 knocked down the bulk of the fire. Tanker 14 completed 2 water shuttles, dumping 4,000 gals of water at the fire scene.


Truck Company positioned as the first due truck on side alpha. Crews deployed several ladders, and positioned the aerial ladder on the Alpha/Bravo corner. Truck 1’s crew completed a primary search on division 1, and vented on unvented windows. Truck 1 was next tasked with opening up for Engine crews.
