At 13:25 hours on July 1, 2019 Companies 1, 7, 9, 6, 19, and 79 were dispatched to 22715 Duke Street for the commercial building fire. The structure in question was diagonally behind LVFD's quarters and the initial call came from Chief 1B (Trossbach). He immediately confirmed a working fire.

Engine 11 responded shortly after and laid a supply hoseline from the intersection of Duke St. and Barthelme St. Arriving on scene moments later, Engine 11's crew began a defensive operation utilizing their deck gun as the structure's roof had completely collapsed and there was fire throughout. Shortly after, Truck 1 arrived and set up to begin aerial master stream operations. More units began arriving including Engine 10, Squad 1, Engine 72, Truck 7, Engine 92, Engine 61, and Squad 6. Engine 72 and Engine 61 picked up hydrants for water supply operations, Truck 7 began aerial master stream operations, and Engine 92 established the rapid intervention team. All crews assisted with fire attack, overhaul, and clean-up.

Primary and secondary searches of the structure were completed with negative results. Chief 1B held the command and units cleaned up and cleared the scene around 16:30 hours.
