At approximately 0540 hours, Station 1 was dispatched to the intersection of Point Lookout Rd and Newtowne Neck Rd for a Motor Vehicle Accident reported serious. Rescue Squad 1 (6 personnel) and Engine 10 (4 personnel) responded shortly after dispatch. Units from Station 1 arrived finding 2 vehicles in the roadway with one person trapped. Crews quickly stabilized the vehicle and began extricating the patient. Truck 1 (4 personnel) was also on the run to assist with extrication. It was determined by EMS on the scene that the patient needed to be transported to a trauma center. EMS ground transported the patient to PG trauma center. The Rescue Squads LT held the Point Lookout Rd command.
