At 2230 hours, Truck 1 (5 personnel), and Engine 11 (5 Personnel) were alerted for a reported house on fire in the area of Mt Zion Church Rd and Three Notch Rd in Mechanicsville. Truck 1, and Engine 11 responded seconds after dispatch. Chief 2 and Engine 23 arrived on scene finding a two-story split foyer home with smoke showing. During Chief 2’s 360 report it was determined the origin of fire was in a bedroom in the alpha/bravo quadrant of the structure. Truck 1 was dispatched as the 2nd due special service, however arrived and operated as the first due special. Truck 1’s outside team through multiple round ladders to the structure as well as securing the gas. The Trucks inside team completed a primary search of the residence, during the search the crew was able to secure the electric at the breaker panel. Truck 1’s driver set up a positive pressure fan for ventilation, while the remaining crew members assisted with overhaul. Engine 11 staged at the scene and was later placed in service. Chief 2 held the Command, and there were no injuries reported.
