Busy Friday Morning For Volunteers

At 12:45 hours Rescue Squad 1 (4 personnel), Engine 11 ( 4 personnel), chief 1, chief 1A, and Chief 1B responded to the 22000 block of Newtowne Neck Rd for a motorcycle accident. Rescue Squad 1s personnel assisted EMS with provided emergency care for two patients, which would be flown by trooper 2 to an area trauma center. Engine 11 handled the landing zone. Chief 1B held the command.

At 12:58 hours stations 1, and 7 were alerted to the 22000 block of Breton Bay Drive for a reported tree on a house. Due to units from Leonardtown handling a serious motorcycle in the first due Brush 7 arrived on the scene finding a large tree which had fallen on a one story single family home. Rescue Squad 1 was able to clear the motorcycle crash and relieve brush 7. Personnel assisted the home owner with securing animals, and removing small personnel items. Rescue Squad 1 also secured the power to the residence. Units remained on the scene until 03:30am hours awaiting the arrival of SMECO.
