Single Vehicle Versus Guardrail

At 02:29 Hours Company 1 and Company 19 were dispatched to the area of Point Lookout Road and Newtowne Neck Road for the report of a Motor Vehicle Accident.

As Ambulance 299 was transporting a Patient to the hospital they came across a single vehicle into a guardrail. Squad 1 (Lt J. Padgett) responded along with Ambulance 197, Medic 5 also arrived on scene shortly after dispatch. Squad 1 arrived discovering a single vehicle sitting on the guardrail with a single patient already out of the vehicle and in the care of Medic 5. Squad 1 secured the vehicle and assisted EMS with the patient. After evaluation of the patient it was determined they did not want any type of care and signed a refusal of care. All units returned to service turning the scene and patient over to Maryland State Police.
