Box Alarm in the 5-09 Box Alerts Volunteers

In the early morning hours on January 9, 2014 Companies 5,1,2,7,59, and 19 were dispatched to Grampton Rd in the area of Oliver Ln for the report of a house on fire. Shortly after dispatch Chief 5A arrived on the scene with a house fully involved. Chief 5 then arrived and established the Command. Engine 54 was next on scene and laid a supply line from the end of the driveway and pulled two 1 3/4 hand lines. Engine 14 arrived next and was advised by command to take the second line to the "C" side of the house. Truck 1 arrived moments later and began setting up for ladder pipe operations and assisted with fire attack on the "A" side. A good bulk of the fire was knocked before the ladder pipe was placed in serviced and utilized. Engine 11 set up a fill station at Leonardtown Center for the Tankers to fill up at. Crews from Stations 5,1,2,7,9, and Charles Station 10 assisted with over haul and mop up. Units operated on the scene for approximately three hours before returning to service.
