Single Vehicle Takes Out Sign

At 1243, Company 1 along with companies 19, and 79 were alerted to the area of 25805 Point Lookout Road for the reported vehicle into a sign. Shortly after dispatch Squad 1 (Chief Scully) was on the air responding, Communications advised additional callers stated the patient was in and out of seizures. Upon arrival Squad 1 established the command and quickly began assessing the patient with crews from the Medic unit and Ambulance 197. After assessing the patient it was determined the patient needed to be flown for better care. Medic 4 requested a Helo Category A Priority 2, and advised dispatch to set the landing zone at St. Mary's Hospital.

The Squad crew worked together alongside Ambulance 197 packaging and removing the patient from the vehicle without incident. Engine crew cleared the roadway of all hazards and secured the Vehicle. Ambulance 197 and Medic 4 went en route to the landing zone were they meet Trooper 7 and the patient was transported. Command was terminated, crews restored there appropriate pieces and returned to service shortly after.
