Squad 1 Takes In HazMat Investigation

On September 30th at 12:38 Company 1 was added to a Suspected Hazmat Investigation at 24244 Victory Ln. Squad 1 (Lt. Wathen) responded with 4 personal including 1 Hazmat technician, and 1 hazmat operations. Brush 5 arrived on scene and made entry to the residence were they discovered a single package with a powdered residue inside. Hazmat 18 arrived on scene and determined they would establish an entry team to go in and investigate further to determine the substance. Occupants of the house hold reported no illness from anyone who entered the residence.

The Hazmat entry team went in located the package and its contents, the entry team ran 2 test on the residue and both test completed the results were determined to be negative and the residence was determined safe. Hazmat entry team packaged all contents of the package and all testing materials and exited the residence. Units wrapped up and restored there respected apparatus. All crews gathered for a quick de briefing of the incident and returned to service shortly after.
