Busy Thursday for Leonardtown

It was a steady Thursday for Leonardtown volunteers, as the company ran a total of 5 incidents. 3 accidents, a gunshot wound with landing zone, and a med local. All units were fully staffed on all 5 calls.

At 4:56 AM: Units assisted the ambulance with man power.

At 8:22 AM: The Engine Company was dispatched to set up a landing zone for an injured subject that, and an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

At 11:02 AM: Rrscue Squad 1 was dispatched to assist Hollywood with an MVA with entrapment. Squad 1’s crew assisted Squad 7 with extrication, and patient removal. Rescue Squad 1 returned to service at 11:43 AM.

At 5:44 PM: The Company was alerted for an MVA in the area of Point Lookout rd. and Cedar Ln rd. Squad 1 arrived on the scene finding 4 total vehicles involved. 3 patients were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, while 3 signed refusals were also obtained, from the squad crew. Rescue Squad 1, and Engine 11 handled the incident. Squad 1 and Engine 11 were in service at 6:19 PM.

At 6:38 PM: The Rescue Squad was alerted for an MVA with a Car vs. Deer. Initial report was given that the driver was unable to get out of the vehicle. Squad 1 arrived on the scene finding the drive was out of the vehicle. EMS crews evaluated the patient, and a sign refusal was obtained.
