Morning Collision Brings Out The Squad

January 26th 2015, Company 1 along with EMS Companies 19, 79, 59, 38, and 39 were dispatched to the area of Point Lookout Road and Hollywood Road for the report of a motor vehicle collision with injuries. Squad 1 (Lt. Wathen) responded with 5 personnel and arrived on scene shortly after finding 2 vehicles in the roadway of the northbound lanes, with occupants still in the vehicles. Crews quickly went to work securing the vehicles and assessing patients. It was determined there was 2 patients that were going to be transported and no other subjects involved. Ambulance's 797 and 399 were already on the air in the area and took in the response. Patients were quickly removed from the vehicles and placed in care of the EMS crews on scene. Squad 1 removed debris from the roadway restored equipment, and returned to service.
