Vehicle on fire with Ejection

At 20:21 hour’s stations 5, 1, EMS 59, EMS 19, and the medic were alerted to Rescue box 5-06. Squad 1, and Engine 11 made the response with a total of 10 Volunteers. Initial reports were, a single vehicle rollover with one ejected and on fire. Before Fire and EMS units could arrive bystanders had removed the patient away from the vehicle, which was on fire.

Chief 5 arrived on location establishing the command. Squad 5 was next to arrive locating a single patient; Squad 5s crew began assessing the patient, while other crew members pulled a handline to the vehicle on fire. Squad 1 and Engine 11 arrived on location, with Squad 1s crew assisting with patient care, and packaging. Engine 11 was the first arriving Engine Company, pulling an 1 ¾ bumper line, and assisted with extinguishment of the vehicle fire. With further evaluation of the patient a Helicopter was requested for a priority one, category A fly out. Trooper 7 was able to land at the scene; Engine 52 handled the landing zone. The patient was flown to PG trauma center.
