Motorcycle Crash Results In One Transport

At 16:03 hours station 1, EMS Companies 19, and 6 were alerted to an MVA involving a motorcycle, on Medleys neck road, in the area of Whirlwind Rd. Chief 1, Rescue Squad 1, and Engine 11 all made the quick response with a total of 12 volunteers. Chief 1 arrived on location and advised all incoming units the crash was south of Whirlwind Rd. Squads 1s crew assisted Ambulance 196 with providing medical care to the patient. Engine 11 was assigned to cleaning the roadway of all debris, and securing the motorcycle involved. The patient was transported to St. Mary's hospital with nonlife threating injures.

Throughout the day the station was fully staffed, and training efforts were in full swing. Rescue Squad 1 responded on 2 crashes, while the brush units and Engine Company 14 responded to a brush fire off South Sandgates Rd, in Hollywood's first due.
