The Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department participated in the statewide Recruitment Open House on April 12th 2015. The members put on several demonstrations for the public with two vehicle extrications, Bullex fire extinguisher demo, kids hose maze, fire truck rides, and forcible entry demonstration. We had nearly 140 visitors throughout the day and had 25 members in participation for the event. The event was a great opportunity for the public to see us in action and ask questions to gain knowledge of the department. During the Open House the members of LVFD also responded to two MVA’s and a Brush Fire.
