On Thursday, April 17 Companies 1, 19, and 59 were alerted for the motor vehicle accident. Shortly after dispatch Squad 1 (Capt. Watts) made the response. Upon arrival it was determined that there was 5 total patients with one needing to be removed from the vehicle. The crew from Squad 1 performed a "door pop". At this time Ambulance 197 arrived and assessed the trapped patient. The patient was removed from the vehicle and transported to the local hospital. Engine 11 (Safety Officer Smith) arrived on scene and assessed the other patients. All other patients involved signed a refusal of care. The scene was then turned over to the Sherriff's Office and all units returned to service.
