At 0130 hours Truck 1 (5 personnel) and Tanker 14 (4 personnel) were alerted 25000 budderleigh Pl in company 2s first due response area. First arriving units from Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department, INC. found a 2 story single family home with smoke showing. Engine 23 deployed an 1 3/4 handline locating a fire in the kitchen. Truck 1 arrived on location assisting with fire attack, opening up, and overhaul. Tanker 14 assisted with establishing a continuous water supply for the fire ground. Chief 2B established the command.
