The Officers and Members of the LVFD regret to announce the passing of our past member Charles Benedict (Dickie) Gatton. Dickie served the department for over eighteen years as an active member. During that time, he served as Assistant Engineer for a number of years. He was a faithful member always working at the annual carnival running the some of the carnival rides. Dickie served for many years as a safe and well-trained pump operator and due to working and living in town was available to respond to many calls. The membership wishes to extend our sympathy to Hilda and Dickie’s extended family. May he rest in peace.
